Thai Green Beans

This green beans recipe is aromatic and spicy. In Thailand (as well as in other South-east Asian countries), green beans are called "long beans" because they are literally 1 foot or more long. For this vegetable recipe, you can use regular green beans, or purchase long beans at nearly any Asian store or market. The advantage of long beans is found in the preparation (they're much faster and easier to cut). And while the taste is similar, long beans are chewy (rather than crisp) in texture.
